Pat Tanzola, language enthusiast
Pat was born and grew up in Toronto, the most multilingual city on Earth. He speaks one language well (English), two languages passably (French, Italian), three languages badly (German, Spanish, Russian), four languages horribly (Portuguese, Mandarin, Japanese, Egyptian Arabic) and five languages not at all (Latin and Ancient Greek; Korean, Turkish and Swahili are next on the list). He can read HTML, CSS and PHP but it’s hard to have a conversation in those.
Pat remembers the school subjects he enjoyed the most were his language classes; he always admired his language teachers: they were the most entertaining people with the best sense of humour. The chance to meet inspiring teachers is one reason he keeps learning new languages.
